Report on the timetable for consideration of the Control of Horses
(Wales) Bill
1. On 14 October 2013, a Government Bill, ‘Control of Horses (Wales) Bill’, was introduced in the Assembly.
2. On 24 September 2013, the Business Committee agreed, in accordance with Standing Order 26.9, to refer the Bill to the Environment and Sustainability Committee but agreed to bypass Stage 1 committee consideration.
3. Business Committee further agreed that Stage 2 proceedings should be completed by 15 November 2013, subject to the general principles of the Bill being agreed by the Assembly.
